Wear gratitude like a cloak and it will feed every corner of your life.– Rumi

Wikipedia says that Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday celebrated… “as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year”. For the Humanitarian Team at the Himalayan Institute, this day gives us an opportunity to reflect on the many blessings that have strengthened our projects, supporting others with healthcare, education, and even environmental regeneration.

We are thankful for those who donated books for the library–a place that opens minds to a new world, gives children a place to learn to read, and gives students the tools to excel in their studies.

We are thankful for the supporters of the Total Health Program, that brings healthcare, health education and wellness to rural villagers.

We are thankful for our friends who shared their strength and endurance to pack boxes of books and supplies, and then load containers.

We look forward to sharing our progress with the participants on the Eco-Excursion in June 2015  who will formally greet and be welcomed by the Fon of Nso at his palace in Kumbo.

We will celebrate the expansion of our latest humanitarian program, the Total Health Revolution. In 2015, this program will grow to reach 320,000 people in remote areas.

And as always, we are so appreciative of your involvement and willingness to learn about these projects and share the story with your family, friends and community.

Big Thanks from the Humanitarian Team – Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
